ADB Backs Tajikistan Road Scheme

The Asian Development Bank has approved a USD120 million grant to help Tajikistan rehabilitate a 62-kilometer highway linking its capital city with the Uzbekistan border. The road forms part of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation’s Corridor 3, a 7,000-kilometer road spanning from the Russian Federation in the north to the Persian Gulf in the south, according to an ADB news release.
