ADB Backs Vietnam Highway Project

The Asian Development Bank will lend USD1.1 billion to Vietnam for the construction of a 244 km highway linking Hanoi with southern China. The scheme is dubbed as the “single biggest project financing in ADB’s history.” The road is expected to be finished by 2012.
