ADB Commits Billions to Bangladesh

The Asian Development Bank has earmarked USD3.6 billion for Bangladesh over the next three years, All Headline News reports.

“As a major development partner of the government, ADB will continue to support the government’s priorities, including construction of the Padma Bridge, improving power production and mitigating the climate change impacts,” said ADB’s chief in its South Asia department, Sultan Hafeez Rahman.

The bank is currently supporting 59 projects in the nation worth some USD4.5 billion.
