ADB OKs $120M for anti-pollution project in China

    The Asian Development Bank is extending $120 million to curb pollution in two Chinese municipalities. According to the agency, the funding aims to “improve the quality of life for about 2.2 million people in Wuhai and Bayannur municipalities.” The loan will be used to construct wastewater treatment facilities as well as replace small, coal-fired boilers with new gas and heating materials.
