The Asian Development Bank will release emergency food assistance of USD35 million to help Cambodia’s poorest communities cope with surging food and fuel prices. The funding will be used to provide food to poor households in Tonle Sap Lake and urban slums in Phnom Penh. It will also boost employment through food-for-work programs while providing seed and fertilizer to impoverished farmers.
