ADB pledges support to Philippine typhoon victims

The Asian Development Bank committed aid for the victims of typhoon-triggered mudslides in the Philippines, vowing full cooperation for rehabilitation efforts. “I would like to assure you of ADB’s fullest cooperation. We are closely monitoring the situation and stand ready to assist you in any possible way, especially in the long-term rehabilitation of the calamity areas,” ADB president Haruhiko Kuroda said in a letter sent to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
