ADB Seeks Better Aid Coordination in Pacific

The Asian Development Bank will release USD1.5 million to improve the effectiveness and coordination of its aid programs in the Pacific. The technical assistance grant will mainly benefit Samoa, the Solomon Islands, and Tonga, which require more aid in the next three years as compared to other ADB member countries in the region. New key officials were also appointed in the bank’s Pacific department. (“ADB to Enhance Aid Coordination, Effectiveness in Pacific” - Asian Development Bank, Sept. 1, 2008)
