ADB Supports Chinese Solar Power Project

The Asian Development Bank is providing USD1 million in technical assistance grant for a pre-feasibility assessment of a concentrated solar thermal power demonstration project in Gansu, China. The grant, according to GLOBE-Net, is drawn from the bank’s climate change fund, which was set up in 2008. The China Huadian Engineering Company Ltd. will implement the project that is expected to be completed in March 2011.
