The Asian Development Bank plans to spend $3 billion over the next three years to finance power and water infrastructure projects in Pakistan. ADB country director Peter Fedon made the announcement during a meeting with Pakistani minister for water and power Liaquat Ali Jatoi in Islamabad. The sum includes $500 million for renewable energy development, $1.45 billion to boost power transmission and distribution, and $800 million to improve water irrigation. The rest of the money will finance technical assistance programs.
