AfDB Renews Assistance to Somalia

The African Development Bank has renewed its relationship with Somalia, more than 10 years after the bank suspended its operations in the African country. To mark this renewal of operations, AfDB has approved a USD2 million grant to support the country's public management sector. A portion of the grant will also be used to create transparent financial system and build the capacities of people and institutions involved in the country's public financial sector.
