Anne Sipiläinen: Finland’s new undersecretary of state for development

    Anne Sipiläinen begins work today, Sept. 1, as undersecretary of state for development cooperation and development policy at the Finnish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

    Her appointment was announced on July 2011.

    Prior to her new post, Sipiläinen was Finland’s representative to the European Union’s Political and Security Committee. She has been serving the ministry since 1987.
