An Argentine judge on Dec. 16 seized a building belonging to a former Iranian diplomat who is sought on charges related to the 1994 bombing of a Jewish community center. Argentina has accused Iran of masterminding the attack, which killed 85 people and wounded more than 200, and is seeking the arrest of high-ranking Iranian government officials. A federal judge ordered the seizure after authorities discovered a Buenos Aires property in the name of a former Iranian cultural attaché, one of the officials being sought in the case. If there is a definitive court ruling in the case, the building would be auctioned off and the proceeds given to a survivor of the attack who had sued for damages. (Reuters)
