Argentina Gains Clean Energy Aid from World Bank

The World Bank will provide USD50 million for Argentina’s renewable energy initiative. The program seeks to increase access of rural communities to reliable energy supply through clean energy technologies. The program will help install 15,500 new solar home systems, equip rural schools with 140 thermal systems and some 630 solar photovoltaic systems, provide 30 solar-powered water pumps, and back two biomass generation projects.
