Police in the Armenian capital Yerevan have arrested 30 opposition supporters on suspicion of complicity in the rioting of the past weekend in which eight people died. The opposition refuses to accept the official results of last month’s presidential election, which Prime Minister Serzh Sarkisian won with an absolute majority. Levon Ter-Petrosian, the opposition leader, came second. He accuses Sarkisian of rigging the election. (Radio Netherlands)
