Australia is giving a grant worth USD7 million to help provide potable water and sanitation services in southwestern Bangladesh. The grant will support a hygiene, sanitation and water supply (HYSAWA) fund, which is backed by the governments of Bangladesh and Denmark. The Australian grant will help the HYSAWA fund expand its coverage from 513 to 553 union parishads in Khulna, Bagerhat and Satkhira districts, according to The Financial Express.
