Australia Helps Combat Blindness in Asia, Pacific

    The

    committed AUD20 million (USD14 million) to deal with avoidable blindness in Asia and the Pacific. The funding will be used to support various initiatives including capacity building of eye health workers and training institutions in the Pacific, combating childhood blindness and diabetes-related blindness in Pakistan, and providing quality eye care services in rural Vietnamese communities.
