Australia Supports HIV Prevention Programs in Asia Pacific Nations

    AusAID will be providing

    (USD3.7 million) over the next three years to support HIV prevention programs in Indonesia, Myanmar and Papua New Guinea. Of the sum, 750,000 Australian dollars will support a Myanmar fund for HIV prevention among gay men and other vulnerable groups, and another 750,000 Australian dollars will benefit policy and legal reforms in Papua New Guinea. The remaining 1.5 million Australian dollars will help Indonesia implement a nationwide HIV prevention program for gay men.
