Christian Paradis is Canada's minister of international development and la francophonie. He was first elected to the House of Commons on January 23, 2006, as the member of Parliament and has served in a number of government posts, including minister of industry and minister of state (agriculture), minister of public works and government services, and minister of natural resources.
