U.S. Congressman Dwight Evans is a freshman member serving his first term. He serves on the House Agriculture Committee, specifically on the Subcommittee on Nutrition and the Subcommittee on Livestock and Foreign Agriculture. He also serves on the House Small Business Committee, and is the Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access as well as serves on the Subcommittee on Contracting and the Workforce. He is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. He represents Northwest, West, North, parts of South and Center City Philadelphia, and the western suburbs of Narberth and Lower Merion Township.
When women in crises have access to basic necessities, they are often empowered to boost their economic security and change their lives, their children’s lives and the lives of the people around them. U.S. funding to humanitarian organizations is vital to reach these women and families in need.
