Bangladesh Gains IsDB Grants

The Islamic Development Bank will grant more than USD200 million to Bangladesh, Bangladeshi Finance Minister AMA Muhith said. Of the sum, USD129 million will be used to build a single point platform at Chittagong port to load and unload oil for Bangladesh Petroleum Corp., while USD41 million will be spent for the construction the Kurigram irrigation unit. Some USD35 million is earmarked for increasing quality seed production and USD1.5 million for setting up a rehabilitation project, The Daily Star reports.
