Bangladesh Gains UK Education Backing

The U.K. Department for International Development has granted $30 million to support preschool and primary education in Bangladesh,

reports. The emergency funding will help some 25,000 nonformal schools stay open and about 25,000 teachers keep their jobs. Local non-governmental organization BRAC will administer the funding.
