Belize confirmed that it sustained more than USD80 million worth of damages to infrastructure, among others, in the aftermath of hurricane Richard, which battered the country in October. Belize Prime Minister Dean Barrow said the government plans to seek assistance from the Inter-American Development Bank, Caribbean Development Bank and other lending institutions to finance reconstruction efforts.
