Belize Gains IDB, GEF Water Aid

    The Inter-American Development Bank and Global Environment Facility will provide a total of USD10 million to build a new wastewater collection and treatment system in the Placencia Peninsula in Belize.

    The project includes the construction of a sewerage collection network, a treatment plant and disposal system. It will also support public awareness campaigns on wastewater management, as well as additional wastewater investment projects in the country.
