Benin Warned to Observe Good Hygiene Amid Cholera Outbreak

World Health Organization officials have warned Benin nationals against drinking unclean water, particularly from the polluted Oueme River, amid a cholera outbreak that has afflicted 131 people since early January. Four villages around Oueme River, Cotonou and Allada have reported cholera cases. The United Nations health agency has distributed emergency kits and medicine to affected areas.
