Bolivia reduced natural gas shipments to Brazil by 3 million cubic meters a day, or about 10 percent, following an attack on a gas pipeline in Tarija state. Repairs will cost USD 100 million and take about 20 days, Agencia Boliviana de Informacion reported, citing Santos Ramirez, president of a state energy company. Bolivia exports most of its natural gas output to Argentina and Brazil. Bolivian police are battling protesters opposed to President Evo Morales’ push forward for a new constitution that enshrines state control over natural resources, limits landholdings and allows him to run for re-election.
