Protesters have set photos of several UN war crimes tribunal judges on fire in Sarajevo to oppose the shortening of the genocide indictment against former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic. About 150 members of war victim associations demonstrated in front of the UN office in the Bosnian capital on Sept. 16. Prosecutors have trimmed the indictment against Karadzic by cutting the number of crime sites from 45 to 27, and the UN tribunal judges in The Hague, Netherlands, want that done further to speed up the trial.
