Bulgaria Water Sector Gets EBRD Cash Infusion

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will provide 75 million euros (USD100 million) for a project that aims to build nine small water-power plant in Bulgaria, the Sofia Echo reports. The funds will support phase 2 of the project, which covers the construction of power plants in the Mezdra and Svoge municipalities. The first phase of the project produced two hydropower plants in the Lakatnik and Svrajen municipalities.
