Burundi and Rwanda are hoping to secure assistance from the World Bank, European Union, China and Saudi Arabia to back the construction of a 500 km road that will link them with neighboring Tanzania. The two central African countries already obtained a USD100 million grant from the African Development Bank for the road project., which is expected to be completed in four years.
