Bush presses other donors to deliver Iraq aid pledges

U.S. President George W. Bush will press Arab and European countries to fulfill their promises of aid to Iraq. “He will be contacting leaders in the region,” White House spokesman Tony Snow said. “As far as we can tell, only three billion dollars of [the $13 billion in pledges] has been committed. That would include allies from all regions, and we’d like to see them go ahead and meet those commitments,” Snow added. He expects the European Union summit next week to tackle the issue.
