Cairo Airport Project Continues with World Bank Help

The World Bank is lending USD280 million for the development of Egypt’s air transport sector. The money will finance the Cairo Airport Development Project, which aims to rehabilitate terminal two of the airport as well as strengthen the capacity of Egyptian agencies involved in the air transport sector. The current program supplements the country’s 2004 Airport Development Program, which supported the construction of a new terminals in the Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh airports.
