Canada Backs Sri Lanka National Language Initiative

    Canada is providing 5.6 million Canadian dollars($5.79 million) to support the implementation of Sri Lanka’s official languages policy, which aims to help the Sri Lankan government deliver its services to citizens in the country’s official language.

    The assistance was announced June 28 by Canadian Minister of International Cooperation Beverley Oda.
