Canadian aid chief completes Vietnam visit

    Canadian International Cooperation Minister Beverley Oda concluded her three-day trip to Vietnam after meeting with key government officials and Canadian NGO representatives. “Working together, we are supporting small-business ventures, improving the quality of basic education programs, and helping put in place governance systems that are accountable to the people,” Oda said, referring to Canadian efforts in providing aid to Vietnam. Canada’s multi-year commitment to Vietnam includes the current 2008-2009 bilateral budget of USD29 million. (Minister Oda Concludes Visit to Vietnam ?
