Central Asia Gets Disaster Preparedness Boost

The European Commission is boosting the capacity of Central Asian countries to prepare for natural disasters through a grant of 7.3 million euros (USD10 million). The funds, which will be coursed through the commission’s humanitarian aid department, will finance projects implemented by international organizations and nonprofits working in the region.
