Charlotte Petri Gornitzka is Officially Sida's Chief

The Swedish government named Charlotte Petri Gornitzka as director general of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency on Feb. 17, more than nine months after she was appointed as Sida’s acting chief.

In June, Gornitzka took over the post from Anders Nordstrom, who was dismissed in May.

Gornitzka previously served as assistant secretary general of the Red Cross, director of Save the Children Sweden and secretary general of the International Save the Children Alliance.

Last month, Sida started employing a revamped organizational structure that uses a “classical structure” of nine departments directly under the office of the director general.
