China Receives USD4M Earthquake Assistance

China received approximately USD4 million worth of humanitarian aid from various countries and international organizations, a spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said, according to Xinhua. The aid is for victims of the powerful earthquake that hit the western Chinese province of Qinghai on April 14. Death toll from the quake stands at 2,064 as of April 20, Xinhua says.
