Clinton Eyed as Key Envoy of Obama Administration to Afghan President

    U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has assumed a new role as the Obama administration's primary intermediary to Afghan President Hamid Karzai,

    reports. U.S. administration officials revealed that Clinton has developed an "unlikely rapport" with Karzai. "When I came into the administration, I was one of the few people who had a long-term positive relationship with President Karzai," Clinton said. "That doesn't mean you make excuses for behavior that you want to see changed; you constantly push back."
