Colombia Obtains Swiss Aid for Climate Fight, Private Sector Development

Switzerland is supporting three new development projects in Colombia.

The Swiss government is helping the Colombian Meteorological and Hydraulic Institute improve its environmental monitoring. The USD5 million project will help bolster Colombia’s climate change action plan.

Colombia’s Confecameras, a national federation of business chambers, will also receive support from Switzerland to help boost the competitiveness and sustainability of Colombian small businesses.

Switzerland is also assisting the Colombian Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism in providing institutional assistance for the implementation of the country’s bilateral free trade agreements, according to Colombia Reports.
