The African Development Bank and Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa will disburse around USD50 million to fund

in the Congolese cities of Brazzaville and Pointe Noire. The funding forms part of the pledges made by donors in a government-sponsored round-table meeting in March. "This means that we help the government to put in place water treatment points, public toilets (in markets, schools and hospitals), as well as technical support to improve water services and access by the population to water and drainage facilities," said AfDB representative Coulibaly Medjono following the signing ceremony, as quoted by Xinhua.
