Costa Rica

The Costa Rican Congress is poised to ratify the country’s free trade agreement with China “in the coming weeks,” Costa Rican Foreign Minister Rene Castro said, as reported by Xinhua News. The agreement enjoys wide support from various sectors in Costa Rica, Castro said at a conference that marked the conclusion of the 20th Ibero-American summit held in Argentina. China and Costa Rica signed the agreement in April. Castro said Congress has just ratified a similar agreement with Singapore and is exploring another free trade deal with South Korea, Xinhua notes.
