
U.S. Agency for International Development Administrator Rajiv Shah will have Craig Mullaney as senior adviser on Pakistan and Afghanistan starting April 26, Josh Rogin of Foreign Policy’s “The Cable” blog reports. Mullaney served until April 23 in the Office of the Secretary of Defense’s policy shop as the principal director for Pakistan, Afghanistan and Central Asia. He was also a campaign advisor to and part of the Pentagon transition of U.S. President Barack Obama.
