U.S. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has expressed concern over the slow pace of reunification talks in Cyprus. Ban said the talks cannot drag on indefinitely and warned that negotiations could lose momentum with the upcoming elections in Cyprus and Greece, Reuters says. Greek and Turkish Cypriots have been sharing the island since 1974 after Turkey invaded the island’s northern third portion following a Greek-inspired coup.
