DEC Pakistan Appeal Yields USD96M

The U.K. Disasters Emergency Committee said it has so far mobilized 60.8 million pounds (USD96 million) for Pakistan’s flood victims.

The funding will be used to provide clean water and sanitation services, health care, household items, emergency shelter, food aid and livelihood support to 1.4 million Pakistanis over six months.

DEC, an umbrella group of 13 British aid agencies, will continue its flood aid appeal for Pakistan until January 2011.
