Denmark boasts success of Iraq aid projects

Denmark hailed its aid programs in Iraq, saying that financial assistance over the past five years has made a “positive difference” in the war-torn country. A study by consulting agencies COWI and Skadkaer Consult found that Denmark’s USD56.9 million contribution towards agricultural and infrastructure rebuilding initiatives has been used efficiently. Foreign Development minister Ulla Pedersen Tornaes welcomed the findings of the report, and stressed that “the new evaluation is very much on par with results from a study last year.” (Source: Report says Danish aid to Iraq a success/The Copenhagen Post)
