DFID Supports East Africa Regional Integration

The U.K. Department for International Development awarded a grant worth 1.6 million pounds (USD2.4 million) to Kenya’s Ministry of East African Community to help enhance the ongoing integration process in the East African region, Capital FM says. The funds will be released in three parts from 2010 to 2012 and will be used to improve the ministry’s technical, institutional and human resource capacity as well as the office’s public relation services and research programs.
