Donors Beef Up Polio, HIV Fight in Nigeria

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation donated USD32.5 million to help wipe out polio in Nigeria, according to

. The contribution was announced during the visit of Bill Gates to the African nation last weekend. Meanwhile, Chevron Corp. also unveiled its partnership with Nigeria's National Agency for the Control of AIDS. The initiative forms part of the firm's USD30 million support to the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
