Donors Launch HIV Program in Ethiopia

Development groups have initiated a new HIV prevention and care program for Ethiopia's mobile population,

reports. They include the U.S. Agency for International Development, Save the Children USA and the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. USAID has allocated USD40 million for the initiative, which aims to strengthen HIV care and support services, build capacity, promote gender equality and foster behavioral changes to prevent new HIV/AIDS cases in the African country.
