EBRD Board Says Yes to Turkey Operations

The board of directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development gave the go-ahead to Turkey’s application to benefit from EBRD investments. The bank’s board of governors will need to approve the action, and is due to come out with a decision by the end of October 2008. The proposed EBRD portfolio for Turkey includes projects focusing on small business development, privatization, agribusiness and energy efficiency, among others.
