EBRD Expands Slovakia Sustainable Energy Fund

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development allotted additional 90 million euros to the Slovaki Sustainable Energy Finance Facility, which seeks to encourage local businesses and housing institutions to use energy resources more efficiently. The new funding will help ensure the continuous and smooth implementation of small renewable energy and emergency efficiency projects in the European country. It will be channeled to the EBRD four local partner banks and to several new partner institutions. EBRD provided an initial 60 million euros to the financing facility when it was launched in 2007.
