EBRD Offers Energy Efficiency Aid Package to Kyrgyzstan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will provide up to €10 million ($14.46 million) to Kyrgyzstan if the country adopts a reform proposal on energy efficiency in buildings, a senior Kyrgyz official says.

The EBRD aid package, which will be provided as part loan and part grant, will be used to improve insulation and energy efficiency in buildings across the country, the 24.kg News Agency says, citing Kanybek Narbaev, director of Kyrgyzstan’s state agency of architecture and construction.
