EBRD Opens 6th Russia Regional Office

    The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development opened June 29 a new office in Krasnoyarsk in Russia’s Siberia region. The is the sixth regional office of EBRD in Russia, in addition to its central office in the country’s capital city, Moscow.

    The establishment of the office is part of EBRD’s campaign to increase its presence in Russia’s outlying regions, where 90 percent of the bank’s portfolio worth 2.4 billion euros (USD2.9 billion) in the country is spent, EBRD Managing Director for Russia Natalia Khanjenkova said during the office’s inauguration. The event was also attended by six visiting members of the bank’s board of directors.
